Young Mind Interactive
Brand repositioning, website redesign, and AI-powered content strategy for an award-winning digital media studio and educational technology publisher.
The Challenge
Young Mind Interactive (YMI) is a New York-based creative studio that has spent over a decade building an impressive portfolio — editorial illustrations for the New York Times, educational games for national parks, 25+ year client relationships with leading nonprofits, and groundbreaking digital learning tools used in classrooms nationwide. Their founder, Jeffrey Wiener, is equal parts artist and technologist.
But YMI faced a positioning problem: the market saw them as a small, niche studio when they were actually delivering work at the level of agencies ten times their size. Their website was outdated, their portfolio presentation didn’t do justice to the caliber of their work, and they needed to articulate a clear brand story that bridged their dual identity as both a creative agency and an educational technology publisher.
Our Approach
Brand Repositioning
Developed a unified brand strategy that positioned YMI at the intersection of creativity and education technology — not “small studio” but “specialist powerhouse.” New messaging, visual identity refinements, and a brand architecture that showcased the full depth of their capabilities.
Website Redesign
Complete site rebuild showcasing portfolio work with rich case studies, client testimonials, and interactive project showcases. Designed to convert visitors into clients by demonstrating range — from NYT editorial illustration to interactive STEM education games.
AI/GEO Content Strategy
Implemented an AI-augmented content marketing program targeting edtech decision-makers, nonprofit program directors, and creative services buyers. Blog content, thought leadership pieces, and SEO-optimized service pages driving organic discovery.
Portfolio Production
Art-directed and produced portfolio documentation for YMI’s extensive body of work — from the “Our Solar System” educational game to the “Letter to Grandpa” climate PSA and the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park app.
Results
The repositioned brand and redesigned website delivered a 420% increase in organic traffic within four months. Inbound project inquiries tripled, and the content strategy secured top-5 rankings for key edtech and digital learning searches. YMI landed 8 new enterprise clients in the first year post-launch, including two Fortune 500 education partnerships. The long-standing DM+/YMI production partnership continues to deliver innovative creative and educational technology solutions.
