Every application demands a custom resume that speaks directly to the job description, yet most candidates send the same generic PDF to every listing. The result: low response rates, wasted effort, and zero visibility into where you stand.
Job Hunter was built to automate the entire pipeline — from discovery to document generation to application tracking — so candidates can focus on preparing for interviews instead of drowning in spreadsheets.
What We Built
CLI Engine
A Node.js command-line tool that serves as the core automation engine. Run scan to discover roles, generate to produce tailored resumes and cover letters, track to manage your application pipeline, and pipeline to run the full workflow end-to-end. Ships with 24 pre-researched target roles out of the box.
AI Document Generation
For every job, Job Hunter analyzes the job description and generates a custom resume and cover letter using AI. The system understands role tier classification (T1/T2/T3), variant selection logic, and resume customization rules to produce documents that pass ATS filters and speak directly to what hiring managers are looking for.
Electron Dashboard
A desktop dashboard providing a visual interface for the full application pipeline. View all tracked roles, filter by company/status/tier, see generated documents, and update application statuses (applied, interviewing, rejected, offer) from a clean, dark-themed interface.
Claude Code Integration
Job Hunter integrates directly with Claude Code via a CLAUDE.md configuration file. Ask Claude to “search LinkedIn for Senior PM AI roles in NYC and generate custom resumes” or “show my application dashboard and suggest which roles to apply to next” — and it understands the full system: profile data, variant logic, customization rules, and follow-up cadence.
